Norah Meets All the People...And Her Big Brother Angus

Happy Valentine's Day! It's been exactly 14 days since our Norah was born, and what a busy 14 days it has been! Mommy & Daddy are being kept occupied by getting to know their little girl. We are still determining what squeaks mean what and what squeals mean something else (luckily, we are getting much better at speaking "Gurgle" :-).

Ms. Norah is now gaining some of the weight that she lost in the hospital back as well as attempting to lift her head and smile. Our little one is also (sort of) on a sleeping/waking/feeding schedule. She sleeps like a champ, and it is actually almost a battle to get her to wake to feed. Despite her sleeping, she is having more 'awake' periods during the day in which her baby-blues are open and darting around taking in all of the new sights that they can.

Mommy & Daddy have also discovered that Norah HATES to be changed. During diaper changes, our quiet little angel screams and reaches a crescendo pitch that trained opera singers would have trouble matching. :-) We don't blame her, though. Who really wants to be stripped naked with the cold air hitting them? :-)

In addition to Norah getting to know her parents and her parents getting to know her, she has had a fair amount of adoring visitors. Thanks to all who have come to visit, as well as all who have sent gifts and well-wishes. We can't tell you how gratifying it is to have such wonderful friends and family.

We'd like to share some photos of Norah with her new friends (James, George, Vieve, Christie, Andi, Sarah G., Gina & Monica); the most important of whom, Norah's big brother, Angus, arrived home last night (THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH, Schwall family, for taking such good care of our little guy).

Again, we hope you all have a happy Valentine's Day. We are celebrating with our newest little Valentine right here!

JC & Dan are Proud to Present....

...Ms. Norah Lee Weber (the First :-)! Our little Norah was brought into this world via C-Section by the best group of Dr's EVER at 1:57 p.m. on 1/31/09. She was a healthy 6 lbs. 15 ozs. and was 20.25 inches long. She has gray-blue eyes, a head of blondish-brown hair and is the spitting image of her Daddy (although, she does have Mommy's nose :-).

Mommy and baby were released from the hospital on 2/3/09 and the entire family is doing well and getting to know each other back at home.

To say that our new little bundle of joy is the greatest blessing in the world would be the biggest understatement of all time. Norah is just six days old and, in that short amount of time, she has changed our lives, for the better, for all time. She is truly our little angel. Even her cries are the sweetest sound ever heard.

Our nights are longer. Our sleep periods are shorter. And our lives are better than ever before.

We will continue to keep you all updated on the progress of our little girl, so please keep checking the blog regularly. Until then, please enjoy some pictures from Norah's first week of life.

Much love to all of you,
Dan, JC & Norah Weber

January Showers help bring February Babies....

Today, 4 of J's closets friends (thanks Kelli, Sarah, Jo & G-ma Weber) threw a shower for Ms. WeeWeberette's impending arrival. The shower was just BEAUTIFUL. The food was wonderful. The friends and family were plenty (thanks to all of those who braved the weather and also the many who sent well-wishes) and the goodies were even more plentiful. Our little girl is gonna be the most stylish, loved little one this side of the Mississippi. We are truly touched to be blessed with so many fabulous people in our lives. Our little girl, too, is one very lucky lady! Please enjoy just a few of the many pictures from the day.

Now, we just sit back, try to relax and stockpile hours of sleep seeing as how we may not be seeing much of it in just a short time. The countdown has now begun: Less than one month 'till D-Day (Delivery Day). Just think, the next post will have pics of our new, happy family!

Love,
D & J

Friends, Festivities, Family & Fun

Happy New Year to all!!! Let's start by saying that we wish you nothing but a safe, happy and prosperous year in 2009. We know that we're looking forward to it (esp. a certain new beginning in February :-)

We also hope that you all survived the holidays. Ours were filled with Friends, Festivities, Family & Fun.

During the holiday season, we were blessed to receive a visit from Andi, Andrea & her husband, Mark. J & Dan have been great friends with Andi and Andrea since college, so it was great to have them back in Dayton and dine at the oh-so-UD-friendly Golden Nugget! There's nothing like catching up and sharing some laughs with good friends over greasy diner food! :-) We can't wait to get together (this time w/ Little Weberette) again soon.

Speaking of new additions, Dan and J were delighted to discover a new stocking hung by the chimney with care by Great Grandma, Grandma & Grandpa Weber when they arrived to celebrate on Christmas Eve. Our Little Angel's little stocking is just too cute, and we can't wait to fill it with goodies next Christmas. Thanks, Webers!

The holidays were capped off by a visit to Indianapolis. While there, J & D got to visit w/ J's best and oldest friend, Mindy, her husband, Tom, and their two new, wonderful twins.

We were also blessed to be able to visit with family in Indianapolis and Brazil, IN. J's aunt, Margie, was in from California and J's brother Matt, and his wife, Courtney, are now back from their travels abroad.

All in all, it was a good holiday season. Now, we are just gearing up for the home-stretch. The Baby Shower is in 10 short days (stay tuned for an update after that), and then ITS BABY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We love you all and hope you're doing well.

Happy New Year!
D & J

Seasons Greetings!

Happy Holidays, from the Webers! We wish you all nothing but good tidings and joy this holiday season. We're doing well here in Dayton. Baby classes are almost done (J & D can now swaddle w/ the best of 'em), the nursery is nearing completion (just a few final touches) and we're gearing up for the Baby Shower. We've included the picture that we sent out w/our Christmas Cards this year, as well as a very special pic of our Little One and the love we already feel for her. It's hard to believe that, in just a few short weeks, we'll be posting pictures of us HOLDING our Little Weberette! How exciting. Much love to all of you, J&D

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words....

Hello, All. We apologize for not updating our blog sooner. Things have been a bit wild and crazy around The Weber Inn. Much has happened since our last post. Too much to sum up in one entry. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so, without further adieu, we give you the nursery (still a bit to complete & sorry some are blurry)during and after as well as the new SUV we purchased so our little girl can travel home in style.

Happy Holidays, All.

Love,
D&J

Cider, Gliders, Godmothers & Football...Oh My

The past weeks have been very busy for Mommy & Daddy Weber. We have registered for all of the goodies that Our Little Angel will need when she arrives (Babies 'R Us & Target), bought her a nursery suite, celebrated our 3 year anniversary, visited a cider/pumpkin farm, put together her glider (thanks, Daddy), and had a visit from Little One's awesome Godmother, Cindy.

Dan's wonderful anniversary present to J was a glider for the nursery. It arrived last week, and Dan had it up that very night. J is looking forward to many late night and early morning feedings in her comfy new chair. Next up on the nursery front, moving the old office furniture out, picking up the new nursery furniture, and beginning to paint. Keep checking the website for updated nursery pics.

The beginning of October marked D & J's first visit to a cider/pumpkin farm south of town. Although the weather was unseasonably warm, the two had a relaxing day. Dan picked up some Cider to make his own version of J's favorite carbonated beverage, Hornsby's (to be consumed AFTER Feb :-), and J got to sit amongst the pumpkins and do a little window shopping.

Another great event that occurred was the visit of our Little Girl's Godmother, Cindy, this past weekend. Cindy has known Dan & J since their college days at UD, and is also a fellow Steelers fan (sorry...Daddy....you're outnumbered). Cin got Little One her 1st official Steelers cheer-leading outfit, and received plenty of sticky kisses from her little 'nephew', Angus, in return. We're so glad you came to visit, Cindy!

That's about all for now. J's got another Dr's appt. at the beginning of Nov, so we'll be updating the site very soon. We hope each and every one of you is doing well and enjoying the cool weather.

Much Love,
D & J
